I was born in 1955 at Thembamuttom Balaramapuram in Trivandrum District. Later I settled at Mylakkara in Trivandrum. I was fascinated toward martial arts during my childhood onwards. I got more inspiration when I started to watch Bruce Lee movies.

In 1973, at the age of 18, I began to study Karate at Sri Subramonyam Sensai’s Kojryu Karate in Coimbatore. After that, in 1975, I continued my practice in Kaveri Mohan Sensai’s Kaju Kado style at Trivandrum. In 1976, I got first degree to third degree Black Belt from Hyderabad Srinivasan Sensai’s Okinawa Martial Arts Academy in Shotokan style. Then I achieved fourth degree in the same style from International Karate Academy under the guidance of Sreelankan master Ricki Woong Sekkar Sensai. Consequently, I gained my fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth degree black Belt from New Delhi based Bharath Sharma Sensai’s Shitoryu Saikokai Karate. Besides , eighth degree and seventh degree Black Belt from Karate Association of India (KAI) and World Karate Federation (WKF) respectively.

In the past I practice on Kalaripayattu named Kizhakkan Vazhi Thattu Marma Chuvadu, the unique art of Southern district. As well as I got training on KUNFU from WSHU Association under the supervision of coach named Dasabhanda and posted me as Trivandrum district Secretary.

At present, I take the position of State Secretary of Karate Kerala Association (KKA), district secretary of Trivandrum District Karate Do Association (TDKA) and National Vice President of Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate.
